Another WWE PPV Name Dropped

WWE ring announcer Justin Roberts announced during a commercial break at this week’s RAW taping at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas that a pay-per-view event, WWE Uprising, would be taking place at the venue on October 23. The event was originally titled Bragging Rights.

WrestleMania 27 *Spoilers!* & original plans!

As everyone knows by now, WrestleMania 27 is this Sunday night on pay-per-view. The event begins at a special start time of 7:00EST. As of last week, the following was discussed in WWE creative meetings:

– The original plans for the Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan match at WrestleMania 27 was to have both Bella Twins in the corner of Sheamus while Gail Kim would have been in the corner of Bryan. They can still go that route with RAW being taped tonight but it appears those plans have been scrapped.

– As noted earlier here on the website, there was talk last week about adding Christian to the Alberto Del Rio vs. Edge World title match at WrestleMania 27. There was also talk of having Christian in the corner of Edge at ‘Mania. This would have resulted in a heel turn, costing Edge the World title. That would then have eventually set up a three-way dance for the World title. Of course, plans changed numerous times and now Christian is in a tag-team match at the pay-per-view. This is expected to be confirmed on RAW tonight.

Interesting new WWE Trademarks revealed

Backstage Locker room reaction to The Rock & his return!

- Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been well-received amongst the WWE locker room. One WWE employee noted that everyone in the company should be pleased he’s appearing at WrestleMania because it means more money for everyone.

- As noted earlier here on the website, the night after WrestleMania XXVII is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s next advertised appearance on Monday Night Raw. However, a company source is under the impression that he will appear live the week before the pay-per-view extravaganza.

*Spoilers!* Possible WrestleMania 27 Match!

Michael Cole has been training in FCW in recent weeks. He’s been learning how to take bumps.

This has led to speculation that we’ll see a Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler match at WrestleMania. The setup would be for Cole to once again cost Lawler the title at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

Jerry Lawler vs. Alex Riley with Michael Cole as the special guest referee has also been talked about along with several other ideas.
