Multiple TNA sources indicate there were no real discussions between Steve “Sting” Borden and WWE. Any talk of Sting being tied to the ’2-21-11′ vignettes were false, although some within TNA insist company president Dixie Carter was convinced that was case until ‘Taker’s face was shown. Others within the company say Sting and Dixie had been in talks for weeks negotiating a new contract and Dixie knew that Sting wasn’t the type of guy who would “screw her over and jump ship to WWE”.
People within TNA were predicting that Sting wouldn’t join WWE due to the comfort level he has with the Nashville based organization and wrestlers he counts on to carry him in the ring. There is also some heat between Sting and Vince McMahon from years ago. WWE has sent ‘feelers’ Sting’s way numerous times throughout the years and he has always turned them down. There is also no way that Sting would work a full-time WWE schedule including house shows as he’s considered a “family man” these days. He is willing to work the TNA schedule as it allows him to spend time at home with his wife and kids.

TNA Impact - 3/3/11 + Sting WWE
*Spoilers!* Here is a video from the end of TNA iMPACT! this week. This is an obvious shot at WWE basically telling them – “F- off, we’ve re-signed Sting”. WWE has contacted Sting several times over the last few years but he always turns them down due to his family and the WWE schedule. Sting has also never been a big fan of Vince McMahon due to some heat from years ago.

The planned WrestleMania 27 main event is?, Sting-WWE
Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter
– The Undertaker vs. Triple H is currently penciled in as the main event for WrestleMania XXVII.
Many people within the company are saying that Triple H will put his career on the line against The Undertaker, with Shawn Michaels acting as the special guest referee. However, the stipulations of the match are not concrete.
Triple H has contemplated retiring in the near future, noting he’s 41 years old, has suffered a series of serious muscle tears, and is considered the heir apparent to Vince McMahon’s throne atop World Wrestling Entertainment.
The Undertaker is advertised for this Monday’s 2/21/11 RAW in Fresno, California.
– According to sources, absolutely nothing new has transpired since last week concerning Steve “Sting” Borden joining WWE. Sorry Sting marks!

Sting/WWE rumors, Punk's broken nose, & more!
- John Cena and Randy Orton defeated CM Punk and The Miz following RAW in a dark match.
- CM Punk suffered a legit broken nose on RAW.
- There are still a ton of people believing that Sting is coming to WWE on 2/21/11. Here’s the deal guys – there have been absolutely zero talks between WWE and Sting. It’s that simple. Could things change? Of course but as of this writing there have been absolutely no talks. The Sting rumors started several weeks ago with a New York Daily News post stating he had signed a one-year deal with the company. I’m pretty sure that if that report never came out and we never posted it here, we wouldn’t be talking about Sting to WWE at all right now. Nonetheless, there are MANY fans who continue to believe that Sting is coming to WWE. That is simply not the case right now. Sorry to disappoint you guys. Trust me, I’d love to see it as much as any of you.

Major Sting to WWE rumor and Kelly Kelly 'fired'
Partial Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter
– According to a very reliable backstage source, there has been absolutely no contact between Steve “Sting” Borden and World Wrestling Entertainment officials. This story was way overblown by many fans due to a New York Daily News report claiming Sting had signed a one-year deal with WWE.
– After Kelly Kelly speared Layla to help Edge preserve his World Championship against Dolph Ziggler Friday night on SmackDown!, “acting” SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero fired the blonde bombshell from WWE. Her bio page has been moved to the Alumni section. This is obviously a storyline angle.

Sting reportedly a high priority for WWE Officials
According to sources within World Wrestling Entertainment, organization officials’ top priority heading into 2011 was signing multi-time champion Steve Borden (a/k/a Sting) to a contract.
Borden has not agreed to a new deal contract with TNA Wrestling. Internally, the majority feeling within the Nashville based organization is that he is bound for World Wrestling Entertainment.
As noted earlier, the New York Daily news reported today that Sting had signed a one-year deal with WWE. That is NOT confirmed though.
