Justin Gabriel heel turn?, WWE Network update!
- Jo Jo Offerman's relationship with Justin Gabriel could lead to a Gabriel heel turn if the story line on "Total Divas" plays out with Gabriel taking advantage of Offerman's naivety.
-During today's WWE conference call, Vince McMahon noted that all options are still open for the WWE Network. Vince said that rights fees coming up could be tied into the Network.

CM Punk recently spoke about his relationships with Vince McMahon & Brock Lesnar. Here are the highlights…
On His Relationship With Vince McMahon: “The relationship is certainly different and that’s something that’s always evolving. My relationship with Vince today is different than it was in April. It’s something that constantly changes.”
On Brock Lesnar: “There are a lot of people back there who say me and Brock are very very similar. Unapproachable, bad attitude. A kind of cloud hanging over our heads. But to me, he’s a sweetheart. I have no bad stories about Brock, yet.”

Vince McMahon was upset backstage at RAW
Vince McMahon was irate backstage at Monday’s RAW SuperShow after his name was mentioned by Alberto Del Rio during the live broadcast.
Many people within WWE believe McMahon got upset because he is returning to television soon and did not want his name mentioned. Del Rio and the creative writer involved in the segment were both yelled at backstage by Vince.
Stephanie McMahon, who was on hand for the event, attempted to calm her father down but was unable to do so. He remained temperamental for the rest of the night as he was yelling at colleagues throughout the show and making life miserable for those around him.

Big name returning to WWE shortly, Sin Cara
– After returning on Friday’s SmackDown! and confronting the heel Sin Cara, the original Sin Cara worked as a babyface at last night’s WWE Supershow in Canton, Ohio. He defeated Heath Slater.
According to several sources within WWE, that Vince McMahon is expected to return to TV in the very near future, possibly as soon as tonight or tomorrow night.
As we have been reporting, WWE wants this year’s Survivor Series PPV to be a major event, and with The Rock having indicated on Twitter that he will be teaming with John Cena at the event, Vince will be returning to TV to build towards the big PPV.
We will keep you updated on this developing story as more information becomes available.

WWE demands Kevin Nash to dye hair
– Kevin Nash reportedly tried returning to WWE TV without dying his hair black but officials insisted that he dye it black because they wanted him to look younger. Nash tried to get out of it but WWE wouldn’t budge. It’s said that Nash prefers his gray hair and when he was in TNA, people pushed for him to dye it but he wouldn’t.
– As seen on Monday’s RAW, Kevin Nash said that CM Punk looked like a cook from a Waffle House in Pikesville. It’s said that Nash was actually taking a shot at TNA, referring to Pikesville, Kentucky – one of TNA’s hottest markets for live events. Nash was always against working live events in TNA and backstage at the few he did work, he never took them seriously.

Major Backstage Update On Kevin Nash & WWE
For those of you looking for answers to the Nash/Punk/HHH/Steph/etc. storyline, you clearly didn’t get them on last night’s edition of RAW. Close sources are saying that it was very chaotic backstage at RAW last night and decisions weren’t made until last minute.
One source said that the CM Punk/Kevin Nash promo was very unscripted. “Those two were working without a net out there,” the source said, “and the jabs they took at each other were not planned beforehand.”
The lack of resolve in the “Who texted Kevin Nash?” story is because WWE still hasn’t solidified the direction they’re going to take yet. “They have five ways they can go with this thing,” said a WWE writer, “and it’s still unclear which one they’re going to choose.” WWE never intended on Del Rio to be the one who “hired” Kevin Nash. The obvious options now are Triple H, Stephanie, Johnny Ace and Vince, but WWE has proven that they don’t always go with the clear choice with things like this, so no one will ever know for sure until it’s finally in the books.
There’s still no word on Kevin Nash’s contract situation and whether he’s agreed to (or even been offered) a new deal now that he’s back on television. Kevin Nash is currently signed to a “Legends” contract. I would imagine something new will be worked out very soon as last night’s RAW was a very good indication that he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. I’ve received a few emails about
Nash being booked on some future independent shows and while he may or may not pull out of those, there have not been reports of him doing so yet.

Backstage update on The Rock’s WWE future, More
– Vince McMahon stated during last week’s WWE investors conference call that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has agreed to work multiple pay-per-view events. Besides the Survivor Series in November, there is talk that Johnson, barring movie commitments, would be on hand for the big three shows next year—Royal Rumble, WrestleMania and SummerSlam. WWE officials are hoping they can squeeze even more appearances out of him.
– Word is that the CM Punk vs. John Cena match at Sunday’s SummerSlam will be given a lot of time, more than usual. Within WWE, it’s known that this pay-per-view has turned out to be basically a one match show.

Piper Praises Punk, Foley’s WWE Return?, Ryder-WWE
– WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper recently did an interview with The Post & Courier where he commented on CM Punk: “He says what he felt. Imagine if we had people writing them (promos) back in the day. C.M. Punk has possibly struck a chord that maybe things have gotten mundane. I’m really proud of Punk. It’s great what he did, and good for them for letting him go with it.”
– Mick Foley tweeted the following on Saturday: “Thanks to everyone who has shared ideas or hopes for my return to @WWE. I’m sure I’ll do something with them, somewhere, at some time.”
– Zack Ryder has been teaming with Alex Riley at the weekend RAW live events. They lost to The Miz and R-Truth at Saturday’s show in Rockford, Illinois. Truth and Miz cut a promo before the match talking about their plans to take down the Triple H-led conspiracy.
– CM Punk and John Cena wrestled again at the Rockford show, going to a No Contest after Truth and The Miz interfered. Cena and Punk hit their finishers on the two before ending the show with a staredown, each with their own WWE Title belt.
Backstage Update: CM Punk & Vince McMahon
WWE reportedly offered CM Punk a five-year deal at one point. No word yet if what he ended up signing was for that long.
Regarding Punk and Vince McMahon, it’s said that Punk now has Vince’s ear when it comes to ideas. It was described as similar to Shawn Michaels year ago when he began moving up in the company and Vince would bounce ideas off Shawn, or Shawn would suggest ideas to Vince.

Videos: CM Punk invades WWE at Comic-Con!
CM Punk crashed the joint Mattel/WWE panel—WWE: Past, Present and Future—this afternoon at the San Diego Comic-Con, featuring Triple H, Rey Mysterio and WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart.
Punk announced himself via bullhorn and then, with the WWE Championship in hand, sauntered to the designated question-asking microphone and began to speak. The Straight Edge Superstar took exception to WWE attempting to crown a new champion on RAW and then challenged Mysterio, or anyone else who wanted to be champ, to head out to Chicago to take him on.
Punk then asked Triple H and creative writer Brian Gewirtz why Zack Ryder wasn’t on television. Triple H, in what appeared to be a kayfabe response, told Punk that things had changed on Raw and there was a new regime. He told Punk to give him a call. Punk responded by telling Hunter that he was certain Stephanie had his phone number. You can check out a few videos of this below.

Backstage Updates: John Laurinaitis, CM Punk, Kevin Nash & WWE
- As many of you saw on RAW this past week, John Laurinaitis was sporting a black eye. There was some speculation backstage that he had make-up applied to further the storyline but word is the black eye was legitimate. Cena apparently really connected with a punch at the Money in the Bank PPV. Also, part of the reason John Laurinaitis was with Vince McMahon at Money in the Bank for the run-in is because Vince has been told by his doctors not to take any bumps.
Speaking of Laurinaitis, there is lots of talk within WWE about his long-term future with the company. WWE has been looking for someone with a sports background to groom for a job in talent relations. It’s no secret backstage that Triple H is not and has never been a big supporter of Laurinaitis. There has also been talk that Laurinaitis will become a full-time TV character, similar to how Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco were to Vince McMahon years ago.
- During a recent meeting, WWE talents were told not to mention Punk’s name in interviews for now. Prior to RAW on Monday, Justin Roberts announced that WWE management has banned the fans from chanting Punk’s name. Of course, that led to fans chanting his name during the Vince McMahon RAW promo. There are only a very select people in WWE who really know what the deal is with CM Punk.
- Kevin Nash’s WWE Legends deal is apparently different than everyone else’s. The way it usually works with Legends Deals is you make a percentage of the revenue your name and likeness generate. In addition to that, they also pay you a small amount per year. According to a source, Nash is making much more than others and is doing very little work for the money he’s being paid. It should also be noted that Nash is said to be frustrated because he thought the reaction he got at the Royal Rumble PPV would eventually lead to a bigger storyline on TV.

WWE.com: CM Punk ‘Suspended’, Termination Likely?
The following comes from WWE.com:
“Monday Night Raw’s abrupt conclusion last night was not due to technical difficulties. The decision to suddenly end the broadcast in that manner was made by WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, who gave this quote to WWE.com:
“CM Punk was suspended indefinitely for his unprofessional conduct as soon as Raw went off the air.”
With his WWE contract expiring on July 17, one can only assume that this suspension effectively terminates CM Punk’s tenure with WWE.”

What the Tough Enough contestants were told!
For those curious, both Andy Leavine and Luke Robinson were told during a rehearsal before the season finale of “Tough Enough” (which ended up being part of the beginning of Monday Night Raw) that they would get slapped by Vince McMahon and then would take a Stunner from Steve Austin. However, they were not told who would win.

Skip Sheffield injury update
Skip Sheffield, who has been sidelined since breaking his leg and ankle on August 18, 2010 at a WWE live event in Honolulu, Hawaii, announced via Twitter that he will be undergoing another surgical procedure this Tuesday. He wrote, “Will be having a third surgery this Tuesday and it will be the last,” Sheffield wrote. “There are a lot of people who are far worse off and this is all happening for a good reason. I wish I was back right now and doing what I love, but things are not right and they have to be fixed. I will be 100 percent very soon and back on WWE TV and I thank all of you for your support. I have kept my head held high and I cannot thank WWE enough for their support in this time. I have worked too hard too long to just give up and while it has been difficult it has only made me a stronger better person so please be patient and I will be back I promise.”

The Rock Backstage At HOF + WrestleMania 27 Attendance
– Neither Vince McMahon or The Rock were in the crowd at WWE’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday night. We’re told both were backstage at the event along with The Undertaker.
– WWE announced at WrestleMania 27 that the ‘official’ attendance at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA was 71,617. Keep in mind that this is WWE’s ‘official’ number. We’ll let you know what we hear.
– A source sent this one in: The match did begin as a US Title match with Sheamus and Daniel Bryan with Lumberjacks at ringside. They wrestled for a few minutes with some nice moves until all the Lumberjacks started fighting at ringside and the bell rang. Teddy Long then came out and turned it into a battle royal. Khali eliminated Sheamus with a big chop.

WWE Reportedly Planning Name Change, The Rock
– A meeting was held yesterday where it was agreed that the organization would no longer be referred as World Wrestling Entertainment due to Vince McMahon’s decree to eliminate the term “wrestling” from the product. The company will be solely branded as WWE. Multiple sources indicate the meeting ended with this directive. Seriously.
– Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced on his Twitter account that he’s giving away tickets to WrestleMania XXVII. He wrote, “ROCK HIDE & TWEET – 2 Mania tix I’ll hide here in ATLANTA – I’ll tweet clues tomorrow am. You find the tix ..you’re going to WRESTLEMANIA!”

Backstage Report: Michael Cole’s Ego Getting ‘Out Of Control’
Source: The Pro Wrestling Torch
Many within World Wrestling Entertainment feel that Michael Cole’s ego has gotten out of control in recent months. There have been reports of “The Voice of WWE” having tremendous heat amongst the locker room. In light of Cole’s Twitter miscue over the weekend, one company source gave his opinion on how the lead WWE announcer conducts himself behind the scenes.
“Is Cole getting a big head? HELL YES,” the source exclaimed. “Ever since he was reading the GM e-mails he started begging to become GM and walks around like his shit doesn’t stink. He has an opinion on everything.”
The source also indicated that Cole berates creative writers who hand him scripts, as he feels he can say whatever he wants on television. Many feel Cole’s on-screen persona has gone to his head as how he portrays himself on television reflects his behavior behind the scenes.
The source indicated that incidents such as his flagrant remark on Twitter would be cause for termination if Vince McMahon was looking for an excuse to release a talent. However, the organization has too much invested in the Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole program to abandon it.
