New WWE vs. TNA Twitter ‘war’ erupts

– WWE’s Joey Styles and TNA’s Bob Ryder have engaged in a bit of a Twitter war, after Styles mentioned the recent attendance at a TNA house show. Ryder and Styles co-owned a pro wrestling website back in the day. Here is the exchange they had…

* Joey Styles: “TNA in Poughkeepsie NY last night didn’t have Dreamer, Foley or Dudleys …and didn’t have sell out either. The local Indy sells out there.”

* Bob Ryder: “Can’t figure out why @JoeyStyles takes cheap shots at TNA. Especially given how often he has said he would like to work there.”

* Joey Styles: “To clarify, I’m not criticizing TNA for not selling out but rather the TNA employee that didn’t book past ECW wrestlers in NY so they did.”

* Bob Ryder: “Glad to hear @JoeyStyles has all the answers to how to sell out buildings. WWE live event business is down. They could use his help.”

* Joey Styles: “Here’s news much more important than my TNA musings; UFC bought Strikeforce! That is the MMA equivalent of WWE buying TNA.”

Hulk Hogan: I Forgive Bret Hart

Hulk Hogan is completely spinning his earlier comments (surprised?!) and has forgiven Bret Hart for his disparaging remarks concerning him on Twitter.

“Last and only comment for Bret,” Hogan wrote tonight. “I hope he finds happiness in life, I feel bad for him and I have totally forgiven him much respect.”

Hart was asked to give his thoughts on Hogan last night on the social networking website, writing: “Hogan’s nothing but a two-faced, backstabbing, steroid freak who deserved everything he got.”

Hogan responded to his harsh criticism this morning as he implied that Hart was guilty of everything he accused him.

“Listen to where Bretts speaking from, it’s funny he’s done everything he’s saying I did,” Hogan wrote.

Hart fired back later, “That’s not what John Graziano thinks, dickhead.”

Graziano was a passenger in Nick Bollea’s car during a car wreck that occurred in August 2007. He suffered injuries that left him in a vegetative state.

CM Punk pissed at NFL Star & Post-RAW news

– John Cena and Randy Orton def. WWE Champion The Miz and CM Punk with Michael Cole as special guest referee in a post-Monday Night Raw bonus match in Buffalo, New York. After the match, Cena mentioned they flew 15 hours to be at Raw tonight. He confirmed the sold out attendance as 16,700.

– CM Punk and Buffalo Bills linebacker Shawne Merriman engaged in a war of words yesterday on Twitter in regards to the NFL star encountering some WWE Divas during the Raw brand’s stay in Costa Rica. When reached for comment, The Straight Edge Superstar explained the matter to the Chicago Sun-Times.

“All I did was observe him walking around poolside, back and fourth, around in circles. I had no clue who he was, just knew that this guy was obviously trying to get noticed. When that didn’t work, he sent his publicist after the girls, which is the most lacking of testicles thing ever. That’s how we found out who he was.

“When THAT didn’t work I watched him run after them as they tried to leave. Dude clowned himself and all I did was report the facts and laugh about it. On the road, the WWE is a family. The divas are my sisters, and like any big brother, I don’t want creeps around my little sisters.”
