Original Plans For Chris Jericho & CM Punk Revealed
According to sources, the RAW Battle Royal main event to crown an opponent for CM Punk at WrestleMania 28 was a last minute idea that came from Vince McMahon. Although WWE officials had been planning for months that they were going to do a CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho match at WrestleMania, they just weren’t sure how they were going to get there.
One idea discussed over the past several weeks was that Jericho would insult Punk so bad that Punk would eventually wind up demanding a match between the two. WWE officials decided that the storyline was too close to what they were doing with The Undertaker vs. Triple H storyline so they went a different route.
There were also discussions about fans who just paid to see the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view to determine the WrestleMania main events and having Jericho throw insults to get a title shot would devalue the Chamber to fans.

How to tell the Sin Cara's apart!
The new Sin Cara (Hunico) was the second Sin Cara to come out on RAW Monday night. You can tell the two apart because the original Sin Cara (Mistico) has the blonde hair sticking out from under his mask while the new Sin Cara has a scar on his stomach.
One of the reasons WWE is doing a Cara vs. Cara feud is because Rey Mysterio is out with an injury and they want do something big around Lucha masks for WrestleMania 28 next year in Miami. As noted in the past, WWE has expressed interest in breaking the Guinness World Record for the most masks in one place, and are looking to do it at WrestleMania.

John Cena responded to rumors of his scheduled match with The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII being in jeopardy.
A fan asked, “Any truth to the rumours that a top WWE exec wants your match with The Rock removed from the WM 28 card?”
He responded, “none at all. That match needs to happen. If they kick us out we will fight.in parking lot.”
We reported last week that a high-ranking executive with great influence over Vince McMahon is lobbying for the match in Rock’s hometown of Miami, Florida to be canceled. The executive is concerned that WWE’s premiere star, Cena, will be heavily booed during the biggest show of the year.

Cena-The Rock-WWE news
– It should be noted that one very high-ranking WWE official doesn’t want to see The Rock vs. John Cena at WrestleMania 28. While this person doesn’t want the match to happen, most feel that it still will take place for obvious reasons.
– We noted earlier that The Miz would be in Los Angeles this weekend for the Teen Choice Awards. John Cena will be there as well to present an award. The Rock is up for an award so he will be there also.

Where is Mike Adamle?, Triple H heel turn?, RAW GM
– Former WWE announcer Mike Adamle has been promoted to head sports anchor at the NBC affiliate in Chicago after working part-time there for years.
– As noted earlier, one of the RAW scripts called for a Triple H heel turn and having him feud with CM Punk. No word yet if that’s still the plan but a match between the two is currently on tap for WrestleMania 28.
– The RAW Anonymous General Manager’s podium was set up at this past Monday’s RAW but it was never used. Interesting.
There is also speculation that Mick Foley might become the RAW General Manager.

In a Rock-style promo, Johnson explains what he meant when he said he would never leave WWE, saying people don’t like “phony punks” and promising to whoop Cena’s ass. Johnson also implied that he will be meeting Cena before WrestleMania XXVIII.
“The Rock cannot wait for WrestleMania,” he said. “(Team Bring It) is going to find you before WrestleMania. And, The Rock is going to drop a little hint where it’s going to be. It’s going to all go down in the city where it all started. From the moment Rock walked in that historic arena and thousands chanted The Rock’s name that very first night.”

Jim Ross Blogs: WrestleMania Trip + Tough Enough
Jim Ross has a new blog up at http://www.JRSBARBQ.com/ Here are the highlights…
On WrestleMania: The overall experience at WM27 was outstanding. We got to see many old friends and met many new friends. The WWE fans who traveled from all points from around the world were a joy to meet except for those that wanted to pose for photos in the men’s room. :) Announcing at WM27 was an adrenaline rush but I’ll admit that I was rusty and had plenty of pre-match anxiety as I would have liked to have been able to prep more. Plus, one never knows after a long absence from WM’s just how one will respond in the heat of battle. Being able to team with The King on Sunday night and Monday, for a few minutes anyway on RAW, made things easier for me. Broadcaster chemistry cannot be manufactured and the King and I were fortunate enough to have natural chemistry essentially since early on in our announcing tenure.
On WrestleMania 28: The journey between now and WM28 in Miami could well be very compelling especially considering that a main event has already been tabbed, the Rock vs. John Cena. I have no issue whatsoever in dubbing a main event a year in advance because that provides fans with a destination and hopefully the journey to the destination will be full of twists and turns. The opportunity to build an amazing anticipation for this bout certainly exists. The other main event at WM28 would, obviously, involve the Undertaker’s Streak which is now such a part of the fabric of the event. The Streak is embedded in Wrestlemania and it is one of the most anticipated aspects of the biggest event of the year for me.
Tough Enough: Nonetheless, I loved Tough Enough and I hear that the upcoming episodes are much more compelling that the first of which I throughly enjoyed. I’m happy and proud of @steveaustinBSR as he is a genuine star who carries himself big time on the reality show that I felt was extremely well produced and edited. Beginning Monday, TE will air on Monday nights leading directly into Monday Night Raw. I hope that you will check it out. I’m DVR’ing the entire series.

In a fantasy bout for the ages, John Cena will face Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson next year at WrestleMania XXVIII, emanating from The Great One’s hometown of Miami, Florida. Yes, we’ve got a one-year buildup!
The match-up WWE is advertising as “the match the world wants to see” was announced at the conclusion of RAW during a confrontation between The Rock and John Cena. The Rock accepted Cena’s challenge for a match, but said it would be at WrestleMania XXVIII.
The Rock extended his hand to Cena, which he shook. Following their handshake agreement, the two were jumped by The Corre. Cena and Rock fought the group off and two shook hands again to conclude RAW.
