Randy Orton Set For RAW Tonight?, Y2J/Kofi Praised, More

– Randy Orton is being advertised for tonight’s RAW in Portland, Oregon. It should be interesting as Orton is scheduled to be re-evaluated today after suffering a concussion during a match with The Big Show several weeks ago on RAW. Orton has been out of action since then and was forced to be pulled from the Elimination Chamber match. Obviously, WWE is hoping for the best today.

– Chris Jericho and Kofi Kingston both received high praise for their matches at weekend RAW live events.

– Former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson and real-life boyfriend Alex Rodriguez were spotted at last night’s NBA All-Star Game.

Drew McIntyre's 'gay' gimmick?

WWE SmackDown star Drew McIntyre will be getting a new “arrogant playboy” gimmick. At a weekend WWE SmackDown live event in Honduras, Drew started the new gimmick and was acting sexual and flirting with male fans in the crowd. Before the match, he was seen blowing kisses at some of the males.

It should also be noted that McIntyre stopped the match at one point to comb his hair.

McIntyre wound up losing the match to Ezekiel Jackson.

Original Plans For Chris Jericho & CM Punk Revealed

According to sources, the RAW Battle Royal main event to crown an opponent for CM Punk at WrestleMania 28 was a last minute idea that came from Vince McMahon. Although WWE officials had been planning for months that they were going to do a CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho match at WrestleMania, they just weren’t sure how they were going to get there.

One idea discussed over the past several weeks was that Jericho would insult Punk so bad that Punk would eventually wind up demanding a match between the two. WWE officials decided that the storyline was too close to what they were doing with The Undertaker vs. Triple H storyline so they went a different route.

There were also discussions about fans who just paid to see the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view to determine the WrestleMania main events and having Jericho throw insults to get a title shot would devalue the Chamber to fans.

The 2012 WWE Draft + Santino Marella Praised Backstage

– Numerous WWE officials were raving about Santino Marella’s performance at last night’s WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Jim Ross tweeted the following: “Santino 2nite a great example of talent’s maximizing their minutes on TV/PPV. Santino’s gotten over w/ humor. Fans like him. Simple concept.”

– As of right now, the 2012 WWE Draft is expected to take place on a three-hour RAW planned for April 23rd. The show will take place from Detroit, Michigan.

Anti-John Cena Signs Confiscated, Phoenix/Piper

– WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix noted on Twitter that the white wrist tape and plaid belt she was wearing last night at the Elimination Chamber per-view was to pay homage to Roddy Piper.

– Going all the way back to 2009, Sunday night’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view was the first Chamber-related event where the WWE Title or the World Heavyweight Title did not change hands.

– WWE officials were confiscating anti-John Cena signs during the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view last night. This comes on the heels of WWE selling anti-John Cena t-shirts.

Early WWE RAW Preview + Long-Laurinaitis Feud

– Tonight’s WWE Monday night RAW will take place from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The only thing announced so far is The Undertaker calling out Triple H. CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler and John Cena vs. Kane are the advertised dark matches. It should also be noted that SD talents Ted DiBiase, Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Sheamus, Big Show and Daniel Bryan are all advertised locally for the show.

– WWE edited out Randy Orton’s botched RKO on Big Show from last Monday’s RAW during replays in the U.K.

– Teddy Long tweeted the following last night in regards to his currently storyline with John Laurinaitis: “Listen, playas. I’m not going anywhere. And if @WWERawGM thinks any differently then he truly is as clueless as he looks. #Chamber”

William Regal then chimed in with the following: “@GMSmackDown @WWERawGM Perhaps it’s time for me to take over from both of you.I’m better than both of you and far more better dressed.#over”

WWE Teases Christian's Return!

WWE.com has an article up questioning whether or not Christian will be appearing at tonight’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event.

Greg Adkins writes, “Is he actually in Wisconsin’s largest city? Or is he pulling another prank on the WWE Universe? If he is there, will he compete at tonight’s Elimination Chamber? And what would his arrival signal within the ranks of WWE?”

He continues, “To find out if Christian will indeed reemerge to shock the WWE Universe, be sure to watch the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view live at 8 ET/ 5 PT.”

Rey Mysterio At WWE Elimination Chamber PPV?

Rey Mysterio is currently in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Of course, that is the site of tonight’s WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

Mysterio will be appearing today from 2-4 at the Milwaukee World of Wheels convention at the Wisconsin Expo Center.

As of last word, Rey was not ready to return but it’s likely he’ll be backstage at the event. Mysterio was also backstage at last week’s RAW TV tapings.

Chris Jericho & CM Punk Continue Their Twitter Feud

Over the weekend, WWE Champion CM Punk and Chris Jericho continued their feud via Twitter. Punk tweeted the following: “CHAMBEEEEEEER! There will be blood, then a doctor will stop the blood, then there will not be any blood anymore. Bloodbloodbloodbloodblood”

Jericho then replied with the following:

“@CMPunk Everything is a joke to you isn’t it wannabe? Well laugh it up fuzzball, your party ends tomorrow in the #chamber…”

As of this writing, CM Punk has yet to reply.

J.R. Blog Update: 'Mania 29, Return to Commentary, & More

WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross recently updated his blog over at JRsBBQ.com. In it he talks about WrestleMania 29 at MetLife in New Jersey, his favorite tag team, popular reality TV show "Storage Wars", and when he will make his official return to commentary, among other things. While there has been no update to his WWE return, or if he will be calling WrestleMania 28 in any way, Ross did announce that he will be calling the action in next Wednesday's Boston Celtics vs Oklahoma City Thunder NBA game!
